Our food truck takes bookings all over Victoria (and occasionally interstate)
Some of the most popular places that we take bookings are in Melbourne, regional Victoria including Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Mornington, Yarra Valley, Daylesford, Kyneton, Macedon, Seymour, Torquay, Winchelsea.

For the first six years of operation, Round the way was based in Ballarat, Vic. Our warehouse is now based in Spotswood, Melbourne.

As our business has evolved over the years, we now primarily focus on private bookings. Our Food truck trades at a handful of public events throughout the year, and it is best to follow us on INSTAGRAM/ FACEBOOK to stay up to date with these locations.

We cater for a wide range of events, and there's never a dull day in the food truck industry! Over the last 13 years, we've catered at such a wide range of events – from private bush doofs through to billionaire birthday parties. Here are some of the events we specialize in:

Booking a Food truck can range from $1,000 upward, Depending on a number of factors. We quote on a case by case basis, based on the following factors:

  • Location: Travel fees may apply if your event is outside Melbourne or Ballarat.
  • Guest Count: The number of guests will affect the overall cost.
  • Minimum booking spend: Minimum booking amounts vary by the day of the week, and also by the month of the year.
  • Package Selection: Different packages come with different price points.
  • Event Duration: The length of the service period can impact the cost.
  • Additional Services: Any extra services or add-ons, such as late-night snacks or grazing tables, will be included in the quote.

We primarily offer catering services for events, which means we prepare and serve food based on the packages selected by the event host. However, guests can also purchase their own food directly from our food truck, provided the minimum booking amount is met by the end of the trade. If the sales don't reach the agreed amount, the host may need to top up to meet the minimum booking requirement.

ABOUT OUR FOOD TRUCK

Our state of the art food trucks are built with in-built fresh water tanks, power generator, fully compliant LPG Gas system. This means that the food trucks are fully self sufficient and don;t require access to anything. If there is a 10-amp power plug available, we would prefer to plug into that.

Whilst in Drive mode - The trucks are approximately 7m long x 2.2m wide with a 3.4m height clearance
Once setup with service window open, and access space, we require a footprint of approx 8m long x 3m wide x 3.4m height clearance.

When making a booking with Round the way, You would be pleased to know that we are fully compliant with all departments. Food trucks have been registered as commercial Kitchens through hobson bay city council, All insurances are in place. You may require an event permit if the food truck is required to park and serve on public property. You will require permission of the land owner if the food truck is to park and serve on private property.

Our Food truck can access most locations. Please conside that the vehicle is quite large and heavy. We will ask you about the location and accessability before taking your booking. If required, we will visit the location prior to your event to ensure there are no problems.

YES - Under some circumstances, we can hire out an empty truck for you to use. contact us to discuss your requirements.

Under some circumstances, we may be able to offer you a payment plan. The terms and amounts will be agreed upon by both parties to ensure a flexible and convenient payment process.

As a general rule, all payments are non-refundable. Please let us know with as much notice as possible to maximize your opportunities to get refunded. Here are some important points to consider:

  • As we have reserved the date for you, we have likely turned away other bookings.
  • For short notice cancellations, we have already ordered stock, organized staff, and made all other plans to ensure your event is well organized.
  • In some circumstances, we may be able to offer credit toward future bookings if we can fill the slot on our calendar.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we will do our best to work with you to accommodate any changes. Please review our full cancellation policy in our catering contract for more detailed information.

MENU AND DIETARIES

It may be possible to swap items in our standard packages. However, please note that prices may vary depending on the changes you request. Contact us to discuss your specific needs, and we'll do our best to accommodate them while keeping you informed of any price adjustments.

Yes - We are able to provide Full Kosher menu catering upon request.

Yes - We are able to provide Full Halal menu catering upon request.

Yes - We provide Vegan offerings, available in all of our catering packages. We can even accomodate full vegan menu's upon request.

Yes, we cater to gluten-free and coeliac guests. We carry gluten-free options on board and can tailor our dishes to meet gluten-free requirements. Please let us know in advance if you have guests with gluten-free needs so we can ensure their meals are prepared safely and deliciously.

Yes, we can accommodate guests with various dietary requirements. For our cocktail and sit-down options, we require a confirmation of guests' dietary requirements 2 weeks prior to your booking. For our other packages, no prior notice is needed; we can provide options while guests are placing their order. Whether your guests are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, or have other specific needs, we tailor our offerings to ensure everyone has something delicious to enjoy.

We don't offer formal taste testings of full menu packages because it's challenging to prepare our food in small quantities while maintaining our high standards. However, we offer a couple of different opportunities for you to taste our food prior to booking:

  • You can visit our food truck at a public trade event to sample our offerings.
  • For large events such as weddings, you can schedule a meeting at our warehouse to taste the items being prepared that day.

Whilst we love making your event extra special and offering custom menus, we have to treat this on a case-by-case basis. Previously, we have designed Tuscan-themed buffet banquets, Aussie-style street food menus, American BBQ carving stations, and more. Please contact us to discuss your ideas and themes, and we'll work with you to create a menu that perfectly complements your vision.
